In short

The khutbah is recognised and translated on your iPhone. The audio is never uploaded.
For your account we store your email address. We know nothing else about you.
The app and this website use no tracking, no advertising and no analytics.

Speech recognition and translation

Speech recognition, Qur’an detection and translation run entirely on your device. The microphone’s audio and the recognised text do not leave it. Saved khutbahs (History) are stored only on your device.

Recordings: only if you switch on “Keep recordings” does the app store the audio as a file on your device. You can delete them in Settings. They are never uploaded.

Account

Sign-in uses Supabase (Supabase Inc.), servers in the EU (Ireland). We store your email address, an account ID and sign-in times, and send you a code by email to sign in. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract). We keep the data while your account exists.

Tarjumo Pro

Subscriptions are bought and paid through Apple’s App Store. We receive no payment data, only whether your subscription is active.

Downloading the translation

The translation model is downloaded once from Hugging Face (Hugging Face Inc.), which receives your IP address for that.

Khutbahs from videos

When you open a video from YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, the app plays it in that platform’s embedded player, and the platform processes data such as your IP address under its own privacy policy. YouTube is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Tarjumo does not download or record the video.

Website

This website is delivered by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Inc.), which briefly processes technically necessary data such as your IP address (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website sets no cookies, and its fonts are served from this website.

Email

If you write to us, we process your message to answer it. Our email runs on iCloud (Apple).

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection: write to privacy@tarjumo.com. You may also complain to a data protection authority.

Delete your account: write from your account’s email address to privacy@tarjumo.com; we delete the account within 30 days. Deleting it directly in the app is coming.
